Read the Italian version1. General information
The website chiacchierino.com is operated by LO PRESTI DAVIDE (sole proprietorship), VAT no. 14759130967, tax code LPRDVD87C05C523H, registered office at Via Adeodato Ressi 7/A, 20125 Milan (MI), Italy, entered in the Companies Register of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi, REA MI-2805207, certified email davide.lo.presti@pec.it. The jewellery consists of Italian handmade creations. The business operates under the Italian flat-rate scheme (regime forfettario) pursuant to Article 1, paragraphs 54-89, of Law 190/2014: the prices shown do not include VAT because VAT is not applicable (Article 1, paragraph 58, Law 190/2014) and invoices do not charge VAT.
2. Products
The jewellery sold on Chiacchierino is made entirely by hand using the tatting technique (chiacchierino, frivolité) and natural semi-precious stones. Every piece is unique: slight variations in colour, size and shape compared with the photographs may occur, and they are an integral part of the handmade production of the product. Natural stones may show inclusions, veining or colour variations that attest to their authenticity.
3. Prices and payments
Prices are stated in Euro and do not include VAT (flat-rate scheme). Shipping costs are shown separately before the order is confirmed. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept credit and debit cards from the main networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. No payment data is stored on our servers.
4. Shipping
Shipments are made to Italy and to the European countries we serve, by tracked courier. Every piece is made by hand and may require additional work before dispatch. The up-to-date list of the countries served, the shipping costs and the delivery times are shown in the cart before the order is confirmed. The cart also shows any order value threshold for free shipping, which may vary depending on the country of destination. You will receive an email with the tracking code as soon as the order is dispatched.
5. Right of withdrawal
Under Articles 52-59 of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the product, without having to give any reason. To exercise the right of withdrawal, send a communication to info@chiacchierino.com stating the order number and your intention to withdraw.
The product must be returned intact, in its original packaging, within 14 days of the notice of withdrawal. Return costs are borne by the buyer. The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the return, using the same payment method used for the purchase.
You can also exercise your withdrawal simply and immediately through the dedicated online withdrawal form (pursuant to Article 54-bis of the Italian Consumer Code).
The 14-day withdrawal period remains the rule for every piece bought from the catalogue. It does not apply to jewellery made to measure or clearly personalised at your request — for example a choice of colours, sizes, engravings or combinations not offered in the catalogue — under Article 59(1)(c) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005). Before accepting a personalised commission we will confirm to you in writing that the right of withdrawal does not apply to that piece, so that you are informed before you are bound by the order.
The legal guarantee of conformity is unaffected: on personalised pieces too, if the jewellery arrives faulty, damaged or not matching what was agreed, you are entitled to repair, replacement or a refund, under the conditions set out in Articles 128-135 of the Italian Consumer Code.
6. Returns and replacements
If the product you receive has manufacturing defects or does not correspond to what you ordered, contact us within 14 days of receipt at info@chiacchierino.com attaching photographs of the product. If the defect is confirmed, we will arrange a replacement or a full refund, including the shipping costs for the return.
7. Legal warranty
All products are covered by the 24-month legal warranty of conformity under Articles 128-135 of the Italian Consumer Code. The warranty covers lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery. Normal variations due to the handmade nature of the product and to the natural characteristics of the stones are not considered defects.
8. Intellectual property
All the content of the site (texts, images, design, logo) is the property of LO PRESTI DAVIDE and is protected by copyright law. Reproduction, even in part, without written authorisation is prohibited.
9. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for delivery delays attributable to the courier or to force majeure. Product images are as faithful as possible, but slight differences may occur due to monitor settings and to the unique nature of every handmade piece.
10. Applicable law and court of jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. For disputes relating to contracts with consumers, the court of jurisdiction is that of the consumer's place of residence or domicile, if located in Italy. For disputes with non-consumers, the court of jurisdiction is that of Milan.
11. Online dispute resolution
The European ODR platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3228) and is no longer available. For any disputes you can contact us directly at info@chiacchierino.com; it also remains possible to turn to recognised alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies, in addition to ordinary judicial protection.
12. Contact
For any question about these Terms and Conditions, you can contact us at info@chiacchierino.com.
13. Changes to the terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. Changes do not apply to orders already confirmed.
